Comprising some of the finest ensemble and solo singers in the country, Kinnara is one of the nation’s premier professional chamber choirs. Under the direction of J.D. Burnett, the choir performs a wide variety of standard choral repertoire from all eras. Their program features Duruflé’s beloved Requiem, as well as the Cantos Sagrados of James MacMillan, a haunting work combining traditional sacred text with modern poetry on the subject of political oppression in Latin America.
