Choral Evensong for the Feast of the Presentation

Sunday, January 30 at 7:30 pm in the church

Choral Evensong (sung Evening Prayer) is a treasure of our Anglican tradition. Celebrated daily in many English cathedrals, most of the service is sung, often by the choir alone, allowing newcomers or those unfamiliar with the Episcopal Church to simply let the prayers of the service wash over them.

The apex of Choral Evensong is the Magnificat, the song Mary sang to her cousin Elizabeth in the Gospel of Luke. The All Saints' Parish Choir will be joined by the Parish Choir of Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church to offer music from Herbert Howells, Gerre Hancock, and Johann Eccard.

Please join us for this special service on Sunday, January 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the church. The choirs will offer the service again at Holy Innocents' on Wednesday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m.
