Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem
All Saints’ has observed the feast of All Souls with a Requiem Mass for the last two decades, including newly commissioned works by Douglas Major and David Briggs. The choir comes together this November to sing Gabriel Fauré’s beloved masterpiece within the liturgy for All Souls. Joined by instrumentalists from around the city in the composer’s chamber orchestration, we have crafted a liturgy in memory of all victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. We invite you to worship with us, to light a candle to remember those who have died, and to pray, in the words of the requiem, “Lord Jesus, give them everlasting rest.”
This event is free and there is no pre-registration needed. We also plan to livestream the service and you can watch live on our website or Facebook page. After the service, the archived recording will be available in our Video & Audio Library.
