FAQs

Who should RSVP?

  • All youth and mentors should RSVP, regardless of whether they are attending the rehearsal dinner or not.
  • All parents and siblings attending the Rehearsal Dinner should register.
  • All adults, youth, and siblings within the same family should sign up together.
  • Mentors are responsible for completing their own form. In the case of adults/parents who also happen to be mentors, register only once, using the "Parent AND Mentor" option.

What if a youth participant cannot attend the Rehearsal Dinner?

  • Exceptions will be made for those with prior commitments or extenuating circumstances.  Please complete a registration form and indicate that you are not able to attend.

What about grandparents and extended family?

  • Due to space restrictions, we are limited the rehearsal dinner guests to immediate family members and mentors.  Extended family members are warmly welcome to the reception between services in the courtyard on Sunday evening.

Are parents and mentors required to attend the Rehearsal Dinner?

  • You are strongly encouraged to attend in order to support our youth, and we hope that at least one adult in every party will be present.  However, we understand there will be conflicts.  We will be in touch with everyone in advance with day-of logistical information and reminders.

I am an adult.  Should I come even if my child or mentee will not be at the Rehearsal Dinner?

  • You are most certainly welcome, but not required. We encourage at least one adult in each party to be present. We will be in touch with day of logistical information for all those who are unable to attend.

What about youth participants who are being confirmed at an alternate date or location?

  • You are still most warmly welcome and encouraged to attend the Saturday night rehearsal dinner and can plan to arrive at 5:30 p.m. It will be a wonderful celebration of all our youth participants.

What if I have lost touch with my mentor/mentee?

  • No need to feel bad or awkward -- it has been a long pandemic!  Now is the perfect opportunity to reconnect.  Please reach out to one another and catch up!  Let Rev. Zack know if you need help getting in touch.  If you would like to use the structured activities from spring/summer 2021, you can still find them here.

Will the service be broadcast?

Tentatively, and in accordance with COVID protocols in the fall, there will be a rehearsal in the church, followed by a festive dinner for confirmands, families, and mentors on Saturday evening, November 6, at 6:00 p.m.
All youth participants are strongly encouraged to attend. However, those who are unavailable will still be welcome to participate in the actual service on Sunday.
