Baptismal Banners Committee

Help sew banners for children being baptized at All Saints.'

by Andrew Barnett (Contact Using Form) on December 01, 2020

What to Expect

Every baptism service at All Saints’ begins with a procession of banners created by members of this committee. The felt banners, bearing the names of the newly baptized, are given as keepsakes when the service is over. We have 7 baptism services throughout the year and we make around 65–70 banners per year. Two to three weeks before a baptism a request is made to the banner makers asking for banner making availability. A banner packet for those who volunteer, it left at the church, for you to take home and assemble. Banner assembly requires tracing, cutting felt, ironing, gluing and a very small amount of easy hand sewing.
