Dear Music Lovers,
I am beyond excited to begin my tenure this program year (2024/2025) as the new Director of Music here at All Saints' Episcopal Church! With the help of All Saints' landmark Buzard pipe organ, a long line of fine artistic directors have brought countless beautiful performances to our block in Midtown Atlanta and well beyond.
The upcoming season brings a new initiative to All Saints', thanks to an amazing team of volunteers led by long-time parishioner Virginia Schenck. Jazz at All Saints' emerged from a year-long study focusing on racial equity and healing. These concerts represent a new way for All Saints' to be in the city, for the city. A diverse array of exceptional jazz artists will take center stage, buoyed by the world class acoustics of our parish church. You can expect our block to burst at the seams with rhythm, melody, and joy. This music series is a tremendous gift that will strengthen our ties to the city and open our doors more fully. I hope you will join me in your support—with your presence, by spreading the word and via a generous financial gift.
Meanwhile, the great tradition of choral and organ music will continue to grow at All Saints'! On Sunday mornings and during to-be-announced classical concerts, you will have opportunity to enjoy music that has sustained our church for generations. There is much more to come and we invite you to join us on the journey!
Peace and joy,
Scott Lamlein
Director of Music
