Louise Geddes
Louise grew up in Macon Ga but shortly after graduating from college, she moved overseas to London where she met Jim, her Aussie husband of 35 years. They moved to Atlanta in 1991 and raised three children here. Louise grew up in the Presbyterian church and after marrying Jim, the two of them tried out several denominations before agreeing on the Episcopal church. They spent many years at St Anne's Episcopal before discovering All Saints about 15 years ago. They really enjoy the All Saints community and the midtown vibe. Over the years they have gotten involved in Covenant Community and the Refugee ministry, and Louise has also been involved in the altar guild and the flower guild. She has also volunteered, occasionally, at Threads.
Louise studied mathematics and economics in college and graduate school, and over the years she has worked in banking and in commercial real estate, before finally spending many years teaching middle and high school math at Atlanta International School, where the Geddes children went to school. She is now officially retired from paid work.
Over the years Louise has volunteered as room parent, team parent, Sunday school teacher, neighborhood association board member, garden club leadership, college alumnae board leadership, ALTA tennis team captain, and Living Room Learning manager and cheerleader. Besides her husband and her kids, Louise also loves the great outdoors, playing bridge or tennis, her pets and her grandchild. She looks forward to more involvement at All Saints.
