Recent parish activities include:
Though a member since 2002, it is only in recent years that I have had more time to become involved at All Saints'. I have chaired the St. Catherine's Women's Chapter for many years, planning events and welcoming new members. I served as the Interim Director of Parish Life following Lauri Begley's departure. That experience provided me insight into the inner workings of our church as well as the gifts, talents and potential of our parish. I assisted Zack Nyein and Kathy Roberts with children and youth until 2020. In 2023, Charlie and I led the Annual Canvass Campaign, working closely with Ellen Hayes to raise pledge numbers as well as dollars. Finally, I have volunteered with Threads, MAC and Covenant Community.
Strengths and skills I can offer the vestry:
I feel I would bring a number of strengths and skills to the Vestry. Because I have seen the church from many different angles (as a volunteer, staff person and Canvass Chair), I bring a unique perspective of understanding many parts to the whole. I believe I am a good listener and very approachable, which would be helpful with the parish. Also, I am a loyal and faithful believer and advocate for this community of faith. I tend to be more introspective and less reactive, slower to anger and upset. I was trained as a social worker and counselor and I have significant experience in development and event planning. Most of all, I am excited to see how I can make an impact at All Saints' through the Vestry.
