Recent parish activities include:
I have been involved with numerous ministries at All Saints'. I have taught Sunday School, prepared baptismal banners and served on the Welcome Team. I also served on the Vestry when Geoffrey Hoare was rector. I am currently serving on Altar Guild, the Guild of the Good Shepherd and the Bereavement Callers Committee. Further, I volunteer with Refugee Ministries and Respite Care. I am in my fourth year of Education for Ministry and have enjoyed learning with that group of fellow parishioners. I am also a member of St. Mary's chapter.
Strengths and skills I can offer the vestry:
I have practiced law for more than thirty-five years. I retired from my position as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in 2019 and currently I am of counsel with a law firm.
I have strong organizational and writing skills. I am a good listener and problem solver. I also serve on the Board of Boncrest Resource Group and the Princeton Club of Georgia. In addition, I have a strong attachment to All Saints'. It has been like a second home to me and to my family, so I would like to be part of the vestry's ongoing discernment of how All Saints' can best serve its parishioners and community.
Amelia would also like you to know:
I have been a member of All Saints' for 3 7 years. My four children were baptized and confirmed at All Saints'. We have also had two weddings and the baptisms for my two grandchildren. Sadly, we also had the funeral service for my husband at All Saints' in 2023. I want to ensure that All Saints' continues to thrive for the next generation.
