Our People

Mark McDonald

    All Saints’ member since 2008

    Recent parish activities include:

I have been a member of Rick Woodward’s usher team, a Eucharistic Minister and Visitor, member and current Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. I have also assisted in the installation of the audiovisual system for the sanctuary and chapel and have volunteered with the Refugee Ministries program.

Strengths and skills I can offer the vestry:

Previous service as a vestry member and Junior Warden of All Saints’ Church, Mobile, Alabama and as vestry member of St. Paul’s Church, Savannah has prepared me for service on the All Saints’ vestry. I have over 34 years’ experience as CEO of four different historic preservation organizations, budgeting for and intensively supervising restoration and maintenance of historic buildings.

Mark would also like you to know:

I am a graduate of Emory University and the University of Georgia School of Law. Since 2008, I have served as President and CEO of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.

I am married to Carmie Jones McDonald who is a postulant for the priesthood and will begin classes in the Episcopal and Anglican Studies program at Candler School of Theology in the fall of 2020.

We have three grown sons, one living in Atlanta, one in South Korea, and one in New York City.
