Dear saints,
Much has changed in our lives during this pandemic, yet on the block the men of Covenant Community are still working on that ‘miracle’ to happen as they rebuild their lives with tenacity and courage. Covenant’s thirty-plus years of ministry in our midst is testament to the power of community when it works together for the good of others. That story of the transformative power of love is starting a new chapter with the arrival of Christine Carter Love as the new Executive Director. You can read more about Christine in this week's e-news and we pray that God will uplift her in leading Covenant’s mission for the years to come.
Covenant Community’s commitment to opening new doors of hope is a calling Dr. Beverly Tatum has responded to through her life of public service as an educator and writer, and I do hope you can join me, Natosha Reid Rice and Dr. Tatum this Sunday morning as we explore the theme of Equity and Education.
It is a privilege for me to be able to learn alongside these women, and among all the rich diversity of this city. I pray that Lent may be a season for your own learning too, however it is you are seeking to grow.
