Leaving a Pandemic: Re-examining Faith

Sunday, 9/19/21 at 10:20am

Sundays, September 12, 19; October 10, 17, 31; and November 14 from 10:20-11:05 a.m. in the Shaffer Room

The last 18 months have called into question many of our foundations: a pandemic, rampant unemployment, protests for racial justice, and a bitter election with its aftermath. In the midst of all this, what does it mean as a person of God to have faith? In this six session offering, join Dr. Keith Hollingsworth and The Rev. Sarah C. Stewart to discuss and explore how faith is both an internal stabilizer and an external force for change.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible."
—Hebrews 11:1-3
