It has been an immense gift during my five years at All Saints' to work with some incredibly talented clergy. Through the course of the past two and a half years in particular, their tenacity and spirit of innovation has seen us navigate an unprecedented time in the life of this church with grace and lots of good humor. Andy Barnett and I will remember for the rest our respective ministries those early days of the pandemic when we would preach into an i-Phone, somehow trying to pitch a message of good news to a congregation we couldn't see. We made it through that together and we have grown in confidence and trust in one another as a consequence. Many of you will have experienced Andy's gifts as a priest, from the pulpit to the piano! He works hard for All Saints' and has become a beloved and integral part of this community. It is with great delight, therefore, that I can announce here that I have invited Andy to serve as Senior Associate Rector for Program. His new role at All Saints' will see Andy have a wider scope of responsibilities here, including serving in my place as acting rector when I am away on sabbatical next summer. Please do join me in congratulating Andy and praying for his ministry among us. I'll leave him to have the last word:
“I love our congregation, staff, and neighborhood. We are participating in God’s work in the world, led by the Holy Spirit, and we have great fun building community together. I am honored, grateful, and excited to accept this new role, and I look forward to the adventures we’ll share! "
