Dear saints,
This Sunday marks both an end and a beginning. The Rev. Dr. Dwight Zscheile is the last in our series of preacher/teachers who have been with us since January preparing the ground for us to cast a vision for all the saints - those of today and those this church has yet to welcome. Dwight's particular role in our series also marks the beginning of a season before us of listening to one another for what is most important in our hearts about All Saints'. We know that much has changed about the world and perhaps about ourselves through this pandemic, and we also know that God continuously calls the church to new birth. I invite you to join me in welcoming Dwight to the block this Sunday as we imagine what lies ahead with confidence and faith. On a personal note, this week has also marked an end for our family with Monica's father, Robert Burns, going on to glory. As so many of you have experienced for yourselves, no matter how much you can see a loss coming, when it comes the pain is raw and real. Please do hold Monica and our wider family in your prayers. And for all those whom we love yet see no longer, may we meet once more in the fullness of God's love.
Peace, |

Souls to the Polls 2022
Registration Now Open for Interfaith Community Panel on Changes to Georgia Voting Laws
Just in time for early voting, a virtual discussion of Georgia election rules is planned for Tuesday, May 3 at 6:30 PM. This interfaith event, hosted by St. Luke’s Episcopal, All Saints' Episcopal, The Temple, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Al-Farooq Masjid of Atlanta, and The Islamic Speakers Bureau will include an expert panel covering ways that communities of faith can empower voters in 2022. The discussion will be moderated by Ann Cramer and includes elections experts, Helen Butler, Sara Ghazal, and Ed Lindsey.
Faith communities have played an important role in civic life, from holding voter registration drives to serving as polling locations. New laws passed in Georgia since 2020 must be understood so that faith communities can continue the important work of making sure that everyone eligible to vote is able to do so. Panel members will explain the changes to Georgia’s election laws and how they may impact voters.
Additional information about the event and a link to register is available at link below

| CALF-Out of Hand Theater Performance |
Sunday, May 15, 2022, 4:00 p.m., Ellis Hall
Did you know Georgia leads the world in the percentage of citizens in prison, jail, detention, and juvenile justice facilities? More than a half million Georgians are behind bars or under supervision. How do they rebuild their lives after prison? How do we respond to them once they have paid their debt to society?
On Sunday afternoon, parishioner Ariel Fristoe will bring her award-winning Out of Hand Theater to All Saints’ for a free performance of Calf, a one-act play by Leviticus Jelks. We’ll follow Bull Willis, just released from prison, as he tries to find a place to live and a job and connect with a son he’s never met. After the performance we’ll have a conversation about mass incarceration facilitated by members of the Georgia Justice Project. The issue of criminal justice directly faces one out of every eighteen Georgians. As followers of Jesus, we are all affected.
Please click the link below and use the password “allsaints” to register for this free performance.
