2022 Annual Canvass: Courageous Giving!
"There is a lot of competition from Atlanta charities for our donation dollars, but pledging to All Saints' isn't like that giving at all. We look at the wonderful community we are returning to post-pandemic; full of support, hope and love. This is home for our family. We can't possibly give back as much as we receive, but we increase our pledge until it feels slightly uncomfortable. We recommend doing this!"
—The Askew-Norton Family |

|
| Three ways to pledge: - There is a paper pledge card in the Sunday bulletin
- Pledge cards were mailed to the parish several weeks ago.
- Pledge online at allsaintsatlanta.org/pledgecard.

Walk the Labyrinth
Walking the twisting path of the labyrinth is a meditative ritual. It can be envisioned as a metaphor reflecting the passage through one’s own life with its recurring corners, which must be encountered one step at a time. |

Dear saints,
What does it mean to be generous? I suppose the answer to that can depend on the circumstances. If I am the Simon of my childhood waiting for my grandmother to dish up some of her homemade gooseberry pie, I’m thinking ‘portions', especially if my brother is in line behind me. If I didn’t yet do the dishes I had promised I would do when Monica got home, I’m thinking ‘grace’.
What though do the circumstances of the church teach us about generosity? For me, church is where I learn what it means to be generous with the hopes and fears of others. Church is where I draw near to the generosity of a divine love that always has enough spaciousness to receive me, no matter how holy or lost I might feel. And church, through ministries like the Midtown Assistance Center whom we will celebrate this Sunday, shows me what generosity looks like when it is lived in proximity to the struggles of people in need. I invite you to join us this Sunday as we give thanks for MAC's ministry to this city and as you do, I pray that you will find an opening for your own generosity to come more fully into view in your life.
‘All good gifts come of thee, O Lord, and of your own have we given thee’.
Peace, |
