Howard Thurman Contemplative Zoom Series: 3 of 4

About the Event

AdultsMICAHService and Social Justice

All are welcome to attend this contemplative hour Zoom series on Wednesdays in October. Based on recordings of lectures by the famed Black theologian Howard Thurman and the "We Believe" series, topics will include boundaries of the self and breaking down the ego, right action (both big and small), and emphasis on the movement and flow of life that leaves a mark on each of us - individually and collectively (October 5, 12, 19, and 26).

Using the “We Believe” recordings from the Howard Thurman Digital Archive in Emory’s Pitts Theology Library, All Saints’ seminarian Rodell Jefferson and parishioner and Candler graduate Caroline Enloe will lead interested Saints in a contemplative prayer exercise. Their hope for the series is to provide an introduction to Thurman and a connection to our internal voice in response to his words. This will be a “toe dip” into the rich and abundant library of Thurman’s works.

Register for this event in the attached link. Then the zoom link will be sent out to those who have registered an hour prior to the event.
