Burning of the Palms and Burying of the Alleluias
Tuesday, March 1 from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Kennedy Courtyard
On Shrove Tuesday, join us for a special service in Kennedy Courtyard to burn last year's palms to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday. Our Cherub and Primary Choirs will lead us in singing our final Alleluias before Lent begins and we will bury our Alleluias for the season until they rise again on Easter Day.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Tuesday, March 1 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Ellis Hall and Kennedy Courtyard
Join us for fluffy, delicious pancakes with fun toppings! And did we mention bacon?
We will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday/ Mardi Gras, so make sure to wear your gold, green and purple. During the supper, we will also announce the winners of our pancake making contest (the deadline to enter is February 28).
The pancake supper is free, but we do ask that you register ahead of time so that we know how much food to prepare—and so that we can minimize food waste. Thank you!
