On Sunday, February 6, we will celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first African American priest in the Episcopal Church.
Known for his prophetic sermons, his work to make the Episcopal Church more inclusive of Black Americans, and his leadership of the abolitionist movement, we remember him liturgically near the date of his death (February 13, 1818).
This year, we will continue our musical partnership with the Singing Sisters of Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the leadership of Laura English-Robinson. The Rev. Natosha Reid Rice will preach.
Prefer to join us online? The 9:00 a.m. worship service will be livestreamed to our website and Facebook page. You can view recordings of previous services in our Video & Audio Library.
