Absalom Jones was the first African American person to be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church. He was a prominent abolitionist and church reformer in Philadelphia in the early 19th century. We celebrate his legacy on February 11. The Rev. Naomi Tutu preaches and the Singing Sisters, directed by long-time friend of the parish Laura English Robinson will join the All Saints’ choir at both principal services. We joyfully continue our partnership with the Singing Sisters, who bring greetings from their spiritual home: Ebenezer Baptist Church.
