Dear saints,
Last night I had the privilege of attending the 'Celebration of Memories and Hope' event in Ellis Hall, honoring four men of Covenant Community who have made their long and courageous journey to recovery. If you've ever wondered what Christianity looks like in action, I invite you to come and see next year's gathering. It is a moving and immensely inspirational thing to witness the power that gets released when someone lost okon their way in life hears the words of grace that say, 'I believe in you'. Such is the miracle of Covenant Community, made possible because we, the people of All Saints', have chosen to say over and over, 'we believe in you'. That is what it means to be church - to be people who choose to say 'yes' in reply to God's great and life-changing 'yes' spoken to us. There are so many glorious and generous ways that you say 'yes' to God through the life of this church. In this season when we are invited to consider how our financial giving might sustain all that we are and do, I pray that you will also hear that 'yes' spoken into your own life. As the great Wesley hymn goes,
'All good gifts around us
Are sent from heaven above,
Then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord,
For all his love!'.
Peace,

Make New Friends with Foyer Groups
One of the very best ways to get to know fellow parishioners in a big church like All Saints’ is through informal, small dinner group gatherings at one another’s homes. The groups formed are a great mix—single, married, families with children, various ages and stages. Signups will be at the Parish Life table or you can register online at the All Saints' website. For more information contact Barbara Blender at bblender@bellsouth.net or Sherry Collins at sherry_collins@bellsouth.net.

Parish Wide Threads FALL Clothing Drive
• Requesting donations of gently used or new Children’s clothing for both Boys and Girls, infant through size 18 and small adult clothing in preparation for RE-Opening Threads for in-shop shopping in October. The School Uniform Event was a huge success, with 400 children served with clothing and shoes. However, that left Threads with low inventory so we need a Clothing Drive now!
• Donation boxes are located on the first floor of the Pritchett Center and in the first-floor stairwell between Ellis Hall and Egleston Hall.
• Please consider talking to neighbors and family and asking them to donate too! You may also think about involving your children’s extracurricular groups, scouts, or sports teams as well.
Questions? Contact Lori Guarisco at threads@allsaintsatlanta.org.

Share a Meal with the Men of Covenant Community
Mondays, October 3 and 10
Covenant Community is a great ministry that provides residential drug treatment for homeless men struggling with addiction. From the time it was founded at All Saints' over 30 years ago, our parishioners have provided dinner to share with the residents of Covenant Community. Please consider breaking bread with them on a Monday night. You could bring dinner yourself, with friends, or even co-workers. Children are also welcome to join! Meals for around 15 people can either be shared with the men inside the residence or they can be dropped off during the day.
