Dear saints,
One of the great gifts of this church community is how we are blessed to witness others go on their pilgrim's way. I will literally be seeing that with my own eyes these next two weeks as I lead our All Saints' pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey. Please do pray for our group and you can follow our progress on our social media pages. I will look forward to being with you all again on Sunday, September 11th.
One of the other ways we get to witness other's pilgrimages is through the lives of young adults as they minister among us. Over the next few weeks, we will be joined by two new youth ministry interns, Elizabeth Bell and Luke Nolfa. You can read more about them below. A young adult leader who has already been with us for a good while is Rodell Jefferson. As you will see below, Rodell is going to be our young adult fellow for this academic year, building community as he discerns where his own faith journey is to take him next.
Multi-generational communities are immensely valuable to the world we live in. They teach us to see beyond the sometimes parochial confines of our particular stage of life and appreciate more of the nuances of life's journey than we would otherwise. Thanks be to God for the life and leadership of young adults in this church. I'm excited to bear witness to all they will give and receive because of All Saints'.
Peace,

Rodell Jefferson named All Saints' Young Adults Fellow
We are pleased to announce the creation of a new Young Adults Fellowship this year. The Young Adult Fellow will coordinate young adult ministries at All Saints' and help to build community within the young adult community and help nurture relationships between young adults and the wider parish.
Our inaugural Young Adult Fellow is Rodell Jefferson, who has been active at All Saints' for the past couple of years. The fellowship runs for the academic year from September through May. Here's a little background about Rodell.
From Detroit, Rodell has bounced from Rhode Island to Los Angeles, and now to Atlanta where he is a student at Candler School of Theology. Rodell did not grow up in the Episcopal Church but has become joyfully connected through the Episcopal service year program.
Rodell is on a journey of discovery and discernment and is always open to sitting with people in the questions and confusion. He is looking forward to making a community and finding avenues for Young Adults to offer their gifts. Rodell delights in creativity, cooking, being outside, and pondering the profound.
Please pray for Rodell's ministry among us. For more information about young adult ministries, please contact Rodell at: rjefferson@allsaintsatlanta.org

Make New Friends with Foyer Groups
One of the very best ways to get to know fellow parishioners in a big church like All Saints’ is through small and informal dinner gatherings at one another’s homes. The groups formed are a great mix—single, married, and various ages. Many close friendships have been formed through these great dinner gatherings. It’s a perfect, low-key way to make connections. Signup at the Parish Life table on Sunday mornings. For more information contact Barbara Blender at bblender@bellsouth.net or Sherry Collins at Sherry_collins@bellsouth.net

Mike Carscaddon Matthew 25 Ministry Fund
“Share in the Movement that was set up for you…for I was hungry and you shared your food with me; I was a stranger and you welcomed me; ragged and you clothed me; sick and you nursed me. I was in jail and you stood by me." Then the people of justice will answer…”when did we see you hungry and share our food, or thirsty and share our water? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or ragged and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in jail, and stand by you?” and the Leader of the Movement will reply, “When you did it to one of these humblest…you did it to me.”
- Matthew 25, New Testament translation by Clarence Jordan, Cotton Patch Gospel.
Consider a gift in memory of Mike Carscaddon.

Meals for around 15 people can either be shared with the men inside the residence or they can be dropped off during the day. The available dates are August 8 and 15.
