This Sunday
A Vision for All the Saints: The Multi-Cultural Church

The Rev. Nancy Frausto is Director of Latinx Studies at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. Nancy’s ministry seeks to honor diversity in language, culture, social-economic status, and race in people’s stories.

Learn how the church is invited to embrace the increasingly multicultural nature of our nation in the future ahead.

Jesus on the Front Page

Join this ongoing discussion of the news of the day and how we are called as Christians to respond in the public arena, in our private lives, and in our prayers.

Dear saints,

The Episcopal Church, much like the country, is heading into an increasingly multi-cultural future. There is a great deal to celebrate about that. We live in a highly mobile and inter-connected world. School children today are being taught skills for a global job market and are learning to navigate what it means to be citizens of an increasingly global city here in Atlanta. All of this offers great opportunity for the church to become a truer expression of what the prophet Isaiah envisions as 'a house of prayer for all people'. I invite you to join me this Sunday for a conversation about the future multicultural church with the Rev. Nancy Frausto, from Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX. Nancy will preach at both principal services and join me for the forum at 10:15 a.m. in Ellis Hall. I look forward to seeing you there.

Peace,

Wisdom from the All Saints' Stewardship Archives...

"Consider using your financial pledge to All Saints' as a real opportunity to do some good in the world right now. Go a little further than you did last year. Give the parish more of your time and talent. Take a risk. Stewardship is not—I repeat, not—just about money. It is bigger than that."

—The Rev. Stephen Y. McGehee, Parishioner in 2006, who now serves in Richmond, VA

Grace Notes
From Refugee Ministries

Thank you so much to Nathalie Fuson for working many hours to get a nontraditional age student enrolled in high school!
Tons of fun at our Fruit of the Spirit Party!

This past Sunday, the children of All Saints' and their families invited the whole parish to a party to celebrate what they've been learning about the Fruit of the Spirit during Children's Formation classes over the past few weeks. We've learned about creating space for the Spirit of God so we can be gently opened up to Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control (Gal 5:22-23).

We're doing great things in Children's Ministries — come join us by offering your ministry of presence! Contact Kathy Roberts, Director of Children's Ministries, at kroberts@allsaintsatlanta.org for more information.
