Dear saints,
It is only every few years—or in All Saints’ case, every few decades—that churches get to welcome back their former rectors for the first time. This Sunday, we will experience the joy of homecoming at All Saints’ as Geoffrey and Sage Hoare join us again. Geoffrey will preach at both principal services and he and I will share a conversation in Ellis Hall on the challenges facing the church in our current time.
I am sure that seeing Geoffrey here again will bring back many memories of the nearly two decades of life he shared with you as rector. I pray that those memories will be a gift, not only to cherish, but also to feed the life we share today as a parish. This has been a long and at times isolating time through the course of this pandemic. There is a lot that we have not been able to enjoy about this vibrant church’s life over these past two years. May we all look to Sunday’s celebration as an opportunity to remember well the gift from God that All Saints’ is, and the deep and lasting place it has in all of our lives. And if this will be your first Sunday back in long while at All Saints’, then along with Geoffrey and Sage, welcome home.
Peace, |

“God is alive and the Holy Spirit is moving and making all things new. The church is not going to die nor is it going to be ill forever. Even now the opportunity for health is upon us. Do you want to be healed? I hope the answer for the church and for the religious leaders of our generation is 'YES.'” —Bishop Andy Doyle, TX

All you add is the stamp. They seem “old school,” but during Covid they make giving very easy.
Please pick one up or we will mail you one.

This past Sunday, we honored the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The beautiful music was made possible by our partnership with Challenge the Stats (CTS), an organization that exists to empower BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists. In addition, we are grateful to Laura English-Robinson who sang and helped direct the choir in special hymns, anthems, and spiritual songs.
