Dear saints,
As is the Advent theme, the time is at hand, the season of waiting and watching is nearly at its close, and after three decades at All Saints’, Pat Kiley is retiring next week. We will get to Jesus‘ birth in due course, yet we make our journey to the Christ child by ways of the people we know and love. It has always been the most central of Advent’s yearly disciplines—to learn again to see the light of Christ in others. We have seen that light in Pat’s life in so many ways and we will celebrate that fact next week at her retirement party. I do hope you can join us.
Keep on waiting and watching faithfully, dear saints. The Word is dwelling all around us in the lives God delights to call God’s own.
Peace, |

Almost everything that we now take for granted about the Bible – chapters, verses, paragraphs, translations, study notes, and even what books are included – is the result of a long and fascinating process.

Dear friends,
Michael and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the beautiful reception last Sunday and for an incredible season with the saints. It has been an honor to serve among you these past several years as we have shared life together in the Spirit. There is no truly no place like All Saints'! While this marks the end of our formal pastoral relationship, please do feel welcome to stay connected and reach out via email at zacknyein@gmail.com, particularly if we missed speaking with you last Sunday. We would love to hear from you, and if you find yourself in Manhattan, please come see us at St. Bart's!
Love Abounds, Zack+ |
|
We also offer heartfelt thanks for the gracious ministry of Junmey Wang, Erin Cassel Idnani, Barrie Gibby, and Lisa Bell whose dedication and creativity made possible our recent Women's Advent Retreat. May Christ continue to be revealed within and among us, that we might be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and rejoice in God's miraculous love, transforming the world.
