A Note From the Rector
Dear saints,
Last night I had the privilege of preaching at First Presbyterian Church in Midtown as part of their Wisdom Collaborative. Let's just say that I was the first person to preach in a clerical collar in that pulpit for a while! It was a gift for me to expand my circle. If I get invited back we'll find out if they felt the same way! Expanding our circles might be one of the most constructive and important things we can do right now. How might your circle widen do you imagine? I know that my own circle needs to grow to help me hear new voices, especially the voices of those who I have not heard enough or understood too little. We need one another to gain a fuller sense of how the world is, not only for us but for others. It is what God intends for the human family - that we might see God's glory in one another. In all honesty, for every year of the past 20 since I stopped living in India, my circle has only gotten whiter. I had not intended it to be so, but I didn't need to, it happens unless we commit ourselves always to move outward.
So, dear saints, I invite you to join me in moving outward. We will grow and change because of it, and that will be a gift to us all.
Peace,
|

Many of us send regular payments to All Saints'. In this time of pandemic it feels like I'm exercising a well-trained muscle to keep giving. Don't atrophy, keeping giving if you can.

Service
All Saints' Cares Update
At the beginning of May we celebrated the start of our All Saints' Cares initiative for Eastertide. Now that the season has drawn to a close, we want to thank everyone for their remarkable acts of love, which includes hundreds of lunches, all sorts of supplies and over $28,275 in monetary donations. Beyond Eastertide, these ministries will continue to have needs to which you may wish to respond. Click here to learn how to get involved. For more information, contact Jill Gossett at jgossett@allsaintsatlanta.org.
Share a Meal with the Men of Covenant Community
(on Zoom)
There is still a way to help with the Monday dinners for Covenant Community while quarantine restrictions are still in effect. Although it will be a while before visitors will be allowed to join the men to break bread, the following protocol has been suggested by CCI's Executive Director, Johnathan Davis. For the foreseeable future, dinner will need to be dropped off at the front door on Spring Street. After dinner, the men would very much like to do a Zoom meeting with the parishioner so that everyone could get together online. Available dates are: June 15, 22, 29 and July 6.
For more information, contact Barbara Blender at bblender@bellsouth.net.
Respite Care Atlanta: Help Celebrate the Fourth of July with Our Families

- Facilitate small group coffee chats on Zoom with members, caregivers, and other volunteers, including bingo (cards already made) and cognitive games
