Diocesan Delegate Nominations

April 27, 2021

We’re currently accepting nominations for delegates from All Saints’ to attend the Annual Diocesan Council in the fall. Each year, every church within the Diocese of Atlanta sends a delegation of clergy and lay members to the Council. The two-day event provides the opportunity to review policy and finance, submit and/or vote on resolutions, and elect delegates to the National Convention (every third year). You are welcome to nominate yourself or someone else (with their permission).

Requirements:

  • If you are a member of All Saints’ in good standing and are interested in representing All Saints’ by serving as a Diocesan Delegate for the Council in 2021, we invite you to fill out the nomination form and submit it on or before May 9, 2021.
  • In addition to the two-day event in late fall (date TBA), our delegates are required to attend an orientation meeting with the other All Saints’ lay delegates and the rector on a date leading up to the Council.

Additional Notes:

  • Parishioners who were nominated for the vestry slate this year, but not ultimately selected, will automatically be considered for service as a Diocesan Delegate.
  • Following a review of the nominations, the Nominating Committee will nominate a slate of delegates and alternates to be approved by the vestry in May. Each Diocesan Delegate selected will be contacted prior to the date of Council to reconfirm that they are still able to serve.
