Dear saints,
Happy Epiphany, or as Christians in Latin America and in the Carribean call it, happy 'Three Kings Day'. In my previous parish, we celebrated Three Kings Day with Rosca de Reyes, or Three Kings Bread, where the lucky one to find the baby Jesus figurine buried in the bread (without eating him) had the privilege of making food for everyone else next year. Or as we used to say, 'pay the bill next time around'. When the kids in the parish realized they might be on the line for the whole party in a year's time, they got a lot less keen looking for Jesus than before. Of course, the nub of things on the Day of the Epiphany is that those who search diligently for the child will indeed find him.
With that spirit of searching for the things of God in mind, this Sunday you are invited to enter into a new season of sacred journeying with our adult formation offerings. A brochure featuring all of our forums and classes through the Spring will be available for you to take home, starting this Sunday with a forum led by our own Bob Miller, who will share the story of two remarkable parishioners here whose lives of faith took them on a journey just as the nation travelled on a way of searching and discovery too.
So, do search for Jesus this season of the Epiphany. Seek and you shall find.
Peace,

Who was this daring couple and how did they end up at All Saints’ in the 1960s? Join parishioner, Bob Miller, as he shines a legacy spotlight on this couple and brings to light a little-known story about the civil rights movement and its connection to this parish.
