Dear saints,
This weekend we will welcome Bishop Wright to All Saints' for his annual Episcopal Visitation. A bishop's visitation helps us to remember that we belong to a larger community of faith and that we are all part of a bigger story. On Sunday, a good number of youth and adults will make their public affirmation that they wish to be incorporated into that bigger story through the particular life and ministries of this church. As they do, it's worth noting how out of the ordinary that kind of thing is nowadays. Rites of belonging and incorporation are beautifully old fashioned, one of the embodied traditions the church offers to the world as a sign of God's grace and presence in all people's lives. They are also rites that gift us the opportunity to say we belong to one another, and as such I invite you to join us in person and online as we support these persons in their growing life of faith in this place.
Peace,

Canvass 2023: Rooted Here and Growing Outward
Someone once told us their pledge was small because they were not very faithful. In Naomi's sermon recently, we heard her remind us that we already have enough faith. At All Saints' we are called now to live into that faith; to embrace our lives in Christ and know that our faith comes from our hearts. Make your pledge to this vibrant community of faith and bring what you have to this table. That is what we can do together. Thank you for making your financial commitment today.

Parish Wide Threads FALL Clothing Drive
• Requesting donations of gently used or new Children’s clothing for both Boys and Girls, infant through size 18 and small adult clothing in preparation for RE-Opening Threads for in-shop shopping in October. The School Uniform Event was a huge success, with 400 children served with clothing and shoes. However, that left Threads with low inventory so we need a Clothing Drive now!
• Donation boxes are located on the first floor of the Pritchett Center and in the first-floor stairwell between Ellis Hall and Egleston Hall.
• Please consider talking to neighbors and family and asking them to donate too! You may also think about involving your children’s extracurricular groups, scouts, or sports teams as well.
Questions? Contact Lori Guarisco at threads@allsaintsatlanta.org.

Share a Meal with the Men of Covenant Community
Mondays, October 17 and 24
Covenant Community is a great ministry that provides residential drug treatment for homeless men struggling with addiction. From the time it was founded at All Saints' over 30 years ago, our parishioners have provided dinner to share with the residents of Covenant Community. Please consider breaking bread with them on a Monday night. You could bring dinner yourself, with friends, or even co-workers. Children are also welcome to join! Meals for around 15 people can either be shared with the men inside the residence or they can be dropped off during the day.
