This Sunday
Legacy Sunday Interview with Keith Hollingsworth
Join us to Celebrate Legacy Sunday

This Sunday is Legacy Sunday when we offer thanksgivings for members of our parish who have made planned gifts to the church.

What is a planned gift?

A planned gift is a gift that is given after you die. The gift has been designated to a purpose you care deeply about and have made provisions for in your will or some other form of investment. Most planned gifts reside in the Endowment Fund of All Saints’. The gifts offer tax benefits but more importantly offer the opportunity to sustain All Saints’ and God's work in this complex, secular world.

Parishioner Keith Hollingsworth puts it best: "I don’t know how the church is going to look in 25 years, but I know there have been times in our history when All Saints’ took a brave stance. I want the church of the future to have a strong enough foundation and the courage to do the right thing even when it is not popular."

Sound Bath for the Spring Equinox

On Sunday at 7:00 p.m., join Midtown friends and neighbors for a communal celebration of the Spring Equinox with Sound Healer and Reiki Master, Rebecca Turk.

Together, we will embark on a meditative journey of vibrational sound healing, which has been shown to help reduce stress, promote restful sleep, and relax tension in the body.

This event is free, but please be sure to register ASAP to secure your spot for this experience (limited to 40 attendees).

Dear saints,

Have you ever reflected on what sort of legacy you'd like your life to leave? Having fastidiously studied Margaret Langford's Magnus Opus on the first hundred years of All Saints', I cannot help but think from time to time about how the world will remember Mainwaring, 'the Covid Rector'. Not exactly the chapter title I was hoping for. How we are remembered is of course among the many things about our lives that are well beyond our control. What is under our control is how we give of ourselves to others while we are still around them. This Sunday has that possibility in mind, encouraged as we will be to ponder how we might join many saints over the years who have chosen to leave a financial legacy to this parish. All of us enjoy the fruits of those gifts year after year, and their trust and faith in this wonderful church has been carried into our present day and will with God's help continue through into generations to come. So pray, if you will, this week about the kind of legacy you'd like to leave this church. Help us remember the future as we give thanks to God for the present we enjoy together.

Peace,

Grace Notes
Big thank you to everyone who donated to our shoe drive in honor of Threads Sunday!

Threads is a volunteer ministry driven by a desire to provide children in need with clean, well-fitting clothes and footwear. Located in Tate Hall on the All Saints’ campus, Threads serves families referred to us by social service agencies around Atlanta.

With the help of volunteers from All Saints’, we clothe children with dignity by providing an experience that is similar to shopping in a boutique, with a wide variety of attractive clothing options.

If you have questions about Threads or want to learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact Lori Guarisco, Coordinator of Threads, at threads@allsaintsatlanta.org.
