A Vision for All the Saints: The Parish of Tomorrow

The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves has served as bishop of the Diocese of El Camino Real and as Managing Director of the College for Bishops, which gives her an interesting perspective on the state of the parish across the Episcopal Church.

Midtown Assistance Center's Lenten Canned Food Drive

In preparation for MAC’s return to the block, please help us stock the shelves of the food pantry during Lent. On Sunday after the services, please make sure to pick up a grocery bag with a list of requested donations.

Easter Flower Donations
Please make an offering to support the incredible work of the All Saints' Flower Guild on Easter Sunday.

You can make a donation in-person after the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services on Sunday, March 6 or online by March 9!

Dear saints,

I’m sure that you have watched with heartbreak the scenes that continue to unfold in Ukraine. Earlier this week I watched news footage of a desperate medical team trying and failing to save a six-year-old girl’s life. Those images brought home the simple fact that the cost of warfare is always counted in single lives—lives so needlessly lost yet of infinite value to God. I know that it can be easy to feel angry and helpless watching such things happen across the world. Please do not give up on praying for peace. We need to believe in a future that does not see conflict as an inevitability. Additionally, you will see a note below about an opportunity to donate material support to the people of Ukraine at this time. It will be a small act of love from our community to people we have never met, yet in offering it we are communicating at least to one another that their lives matter. Keep the faith.

Peace,
Support the People of Ukraine

As we continue to pray for the people of Ukraine we invite you also to make a donation to offer material support at this time. All Saints’ is gathering financial donations which we will submit as one gift to the International Rescue Committee.

Threads Sunday and Shoe Drive!

Sunday, March 13

Next month, we will lift up Threads, one of our four core ministries, during our worship services and during a celebratory reception in the courtyard.

The mission of Threads is to provide children in need with clean, well-fitting clothes and footwear. As part of this celebration, please bring donations of new sneakers for children (all sizes for all genders). Since the beginning of this winter season, Threads has given away about 300 pairs of new sneakers and we would love to give away 300 more!

Sound Bath for the Spring Equinox

Sunday, March 20, 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Ellis Hall

Join Midtown friends and neighbors for a communal celebration of the Spring Equinox with Sound Healer and Reiki Master, Rebecca Turk.

Together, we will embark on a meditative journey of vibrational sound healing, which has been shown to help reduce stress, promote restful sleep, and relax tension in the body.

This event is free, but please be sure to register ahead of time to secure your spot for this experience (limited to 40 attendees). Feel free to invite your family and friends as we embrace the turning of the seasons!

Giving
The season of Lent can be a good time to reflect on our own lives and consider estate planning.

The All Saints’ Cornerstone Society recognizes parishioners who have included the church in their planned giving.

On a practical level, estate planning encourages us to have important conversations with our loved ones about the kind of legacy we want to leave when we die. Estate planning is considered to be a spiritual practice that can lead us to a more abundant life here and now.

News & Announcements
Meet our New Music Director

We are delighted to announce that Brendan Conner will be joining All Saints’ this summer as our new Associate Music Director. Brendan is currently Senior Organ Scholar at Christ Church Cathedral in Indianapolis where he has served since 2020 and is also a doctoral candidate in organ performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Previous to Christ Church, Brendan served in three other Episcopal churches in Indiana and California. In addition to his work as a church musician, he is an active recitalist, and was selected as a semi-finalist for the 2020 National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance before the competition’s cancellation due to the pandemic. Brendan also serves as a member of the organ faculty for the Sacred Music Institute of America, an online continuing education platform for church musicians.

Beyond music, Brendan enjoys exploring new recipes, bread baking, and hiking. Please pray for Brendan as he prepares for his new role here which will start in July.
Shrove Tuesday

On Shrove Tuesday we enjoyed delicious pancakes (and bacon!) and then we burned last year's palms to create the ashes for Ash Wednesday.

Our Cherub and Primary Choirs led us in singing our final "Alleluias" and we also buried our "Alleluias" for the season of Lent until they rise again on Easter Day.

Ashes-To-Go

On Ash Wednesday, our clergy offered Ashes-To-Go at the North Avenue MARTA Station.

Connect with us on Realm!

Don't forget to join Realm, our new platform for online giving, directory, and event registration.
