Clothing Children with Dignity

Threads is a volunteer ministry driven by a desire to provide children in need with clean, well-fitting clothes and footwear. Located in Tate Hall on the All Saints’ campus, Threads serves families referred by intown social service agencies. Ages served range from birth to fifth grade.

Our clients’ experience is similar to shopping in a boutique. With the help of parish volunteers, we clothe children with dignity by giving each client a choice of attractive clothing for each child referred. Threads has clothed over 6,000 children since it opened in 2004.

Threads is completely staffed by parish volunteers. Manager’s salary and overhead are contributed by All Saints’ Episcopal Church so that 100% of additional financial contributions and donations of new or gently used clothing goes directly to children who need it most.

The Threads Winter Coat Drive is Back!

Donate Coats for Children by October 20, 2020

Threads, our children’s clothing ministry, is collecting new or gently used winter coats for children (sizes toddler through big kids size 18 and adult small), along with new winter hats and gloves. Bring donations to All Saints’ during business hours or you can place an order online and have it shipped to the church at 634 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308 (attn: Threads). Due to the global pandemic, we ask that you please follow these guidelines when donating items:

  • If you would like to donate a gently-used coat, please wash it before you bring it to the church.
  • All donations that you bring to the church must be in a bag or container that is labeled “Threads Coat Drive.”
  • Threads cannot accept donations of any other type at this time (winter coats, hats, and gloves ONLY).

We also invite volunteers to help deliver the coats on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25; please click here to sign up.
