Answers to FAQS

How many services ARE there?

As of Sunday, August 8,  2021, we offer indoor services in the church at 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and in the chapel at 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. These services require masks, but not physical distancing. Seating capacity has been returned to normal levels.

In addition, at 9:00 a.m., a simultaneous and identical service to the one in the church is held in Ellis Hall. All attendees wear masks as well as maintain physical distance of three feet between pods. If necessary, we will add a service in Ellis Hall at 11:15 a.m. with the same precautions (masks and distancing).

Where DO the services take place?

The 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. services take place in the chapel and the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services will take place in the church. In addition, at 9:00 a.m., a simultaneous and identical service to the one in the church is held in Ellis Hall; this service requires three feet of distance between pods.

What ARE the serviceS like?

The 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services include music and singing is permitted with masks on. The 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. services do not include music. There is communion of one kind (bread), which is distributed at the altar and at other communion stations. Learn more about our worship services >>

Do we still need masks and distancing? What if I'm vaccinated?

As of Sunday, August 8, 2021, vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are required to wear masks at all indoor gatherings, including worship services, classes, and meetings. Clergy and lay leaders will take off their masks to speak when leading worship or presenting at a large forum in Ellis Hall. The choirs, clergy, and congregation will continue to sing, but will wear masks to do so.

Distancing is not required for services in the church and chapel, but three feet of physical distancing is required for the 9:00 a.m. service in Ellis Hall. In addition, we will maintain three feet of physical distancing for all Children’s Ministries events and activities that include children under 12.

How can I follow along?

We provide printed bulletins, which you can pick-up when you arrive. We also send an email on Sunday mornings which includes a link to the service bulletin or you can find it on this page of our website.

What about kids?

Children of all ages are most welcome to attend any of the services with their families. The nursery is open on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is staffed by people who are fully vaccinated and wear masks at all times.

The 9:00 a.m. service in Ellis Hall might be the best option for children who are not yet able to be vaccinated since both masking and three feet of physical distancing are required for that service.

Will Online Worship Continue?

Yes, we continue to livestream the 11:15 a.m. service from the church to our website and Facebook page.

Will I be able to use the restroom?
