Saturday, September 25 from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, East Point, Georgia

Saints 18 years and older are invited to join our Saturday morning cadre as we help sort and package food donations at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This perennially popular service opportunity has finally made a weekend comeback, for the first time since the pandemic! Let's turn out to support our neighbors in the city who live with food scarcity every day.

Please contact the Rev. Sarah Stewart at sstewart@allsaintsatlanta.org for more information, including ride sharing.

***Atlanta Food Bank requires all participants to show proof of vaccination for volunteering.***

Volunteer Guidelines (from the Atlanta Community Food Bank's Website):

Age: All volunteers must be 18 or older.

Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are required. Sneakers or work boots are recommended. Volunteers not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be allowed to enter the warehouse to participate in the event.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Some individuals may be asked to lift boxes up to 40 pounds.

Safety: As we continue to assess the safety for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and our community, we will be requiring temperature checks, face masks, and social distancing for the entirety of your volunteer shift. Out of an abundance of caution after the Labor Day weekend, the Atlanta Community Food Bank will be requiring proof of vaccination upon arrival for your volunteer shift.

In all cases, please do not attend a volunteer event if you answer “yes” to any of the following questions:

1. Have you or anyone that you live with tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days?

2. Have you or anyone you live with experienced any of the following within the past 10 days: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, or a sore throat?

3. Have you, to your knowledge, been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for or exhibited any of the above symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 5 days?

4. Is your temperature currently at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit?
