We've Come This Far By Faith: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., we’re excited to celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will welcome the Rev. Mark Jefferson, Ph.D., as our preacher-teacher, the Rev. Natosha Reid Rice will officiate, and we'll be joined by musicians from Ebenezer Baptist Church as well as the All Saints’ Adult Choir.

The Rev. Mark Jefferson, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Homiletics (Preaching) and the Associate Director of the Deep Calls to Deep Preaching Program at Virginia Theological Seminary. Learn more.

9:00 a.m. Black Preaching in the Episcopal Tradition (part of The MICAH Project's series, Race and the History of the Episcopal Church, Part I). This class takes place on Zoom. Learn more.

10:00 a.m. Online Worship Service: "We've Come This Far By Faith: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr." This service will be broadcast live on our Facebook page, Vimeo account, and website.

11:00 a.m. Discussion of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life and legacy with Mark, Simon, and Natosha. This conversation will be broadcast live on our Facebook page, Vimeo account, and website.
