Worship at All Saints’
About our Worship
Come to the table…
Worship is a priority at All Saints’. Through prayer and praise, story and song, we orient our lives towards love of God and neighbor. All our Sunday services center on the sacred meal of bread and wine known as Eucharist, or communion. In it we are nourished by Christ’s presence and sent forth to be his hands and feet.
Come to the feast!
Grounded in ancient tradition and the enduring poetry of The Book of Common Prayer, Episcopal worship is highly participatory and embodied. Through music and movement, art and beauty, we strive to make worship the feast that it is. In essence, we think worship is meant to celebrate the fullness of life, and we’ve saved you a seat!

People will come from east and west and north and south, and take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
– Luke 13:29

About the Program
All Saints’ is blessed to have one of the Episcopal Church’s leading music programs. We raise our voices – and our hearts – in song. Our six choirs (ages 4 to 104), guest performers, the Music at All Saints’ and Jazz at All Saints’ Concert Series’, and our grand Kenan Memorial Organ enhance our worship with music’s gift of inspiration, comfort, and healing.

IN THE CHURCH
The 9:00 & 11:15 a.m. Services
Joyful, energized, majestic
Our largest gatherings of the week, the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services follow the same order of worship (Rite II). At 60-70 minutes, these services feature timely preaching and timeless music, with pipe organ, congregational hymns, and anthems offered by our children’s, youth, and adult choirs. We are also are joined by guest jazz and classical instrumentalists for special occasions throughout the year.
The 9:00 service runs concurrent with Children’s Church for grades K – 3 and culminates each week with communion, when the kids rejoin their families to share in the celebration. Coffee and doughnuts are served in the courtyard throughout the morning and formation classes (Sunday School) for all ages takes place between the services from roughly 10:20-11:05 a.m.
During summer months, we typically combine our 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services into a single service at 10:00 a.m.
IN THE CHAPEL
The 8:00 a.m.
Rite I
Reverent, quiet, still
We kick-off Sunday mornings with our most traditional service (Rite I), held in the small chapel to the side of the main church. There is no music at this brief 45-minute service, which includes a short message, classic Episcopal prayers, scripture readings, and communion.
The 5:00 p.m.
The Welcome Table
Peaceful, prayerful, relaxed
We invite you to this re-imagined evening worship service in the chapel, where we experience God’s hospitality and love for the world. The service includes beautiful music from a variety of traditions, accompanied by piano and a solo instrumentalist. We share communion together, light candles as a symbol of our prayers, and enjoy a meal together afterwards.

Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome at this table.

The Welcome Table: Sunday Evening Worship Service and Dinner
The Welcome Table: Sunday Evening Worship Service and Dinner
Before your busy week begins, the Welcome Table is a place to join with others and find rest and refreshment. Come to the Welcome Table: a re-imagined service with a jazz trio, singing, communion and prayer (together and in ways that speak to us individually). A community dinner for all participants follows the service. All are welcome.
The Welcome Table Jazz Combo is made up of the finest jazz musicians in Atlanta, who excel at bringing the jazz style into worship. Anchored by our own Rev. Andy Barnett at piano, saxophonist Will Scruggs, and bassist Kevin Smith, the group regularly features special guests, creating an intimate, unique, and communal jazz worship experience in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

Walking the
Labyrinth
The Labyrinth at All Saints’ Ministry welcomes you to the spiritual practice of walking a labyrinth. Our canvas labyrinth bears the image of the medieval labyrinth laid into the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France around 1200. Walking the twists and turns of the single path of the labyrinth is a meditative ritual — a metaphor reflecting the passage through one’s own life with its recurring corners, which must be encountered one step at a time.
Our ministry offers opportunities to learn about and walk the labyrinth on scheduled dates. Trained facilitators and guides host these gatherings.
SERVE IN WORSHIP
All Saints’ worship is highly participatory, relying on the more than 300 volunteers who make our services happen. Opportunities abound, and whether you’ve been at All Saints’ for thirty years or thirty minutes, we invite you to join us in glorifying God through serving in worship.
