A Note From the Rector
Dear Saints,
On one hand, this Sunday's services and forum will see our month's celebration of our history come to its close, yet we know that the gift of our past will remain a source of deep pride and thanksgiving not only for this year of discerning the future of our block, but always. I wonder who are the saints you give thanks for? Who were the people of years gone by who welcomed you in, who inspired your life of faith, who drew more of the person out of you whom God loves and calls to serve Christ in our world? As I have delved back into the past I have found myself so immensely grateful for Matthew, and Milton, and Frank, and Harry, and Geoffrey - rectors four, five, six, seven and eight at All Saints'. I am thankful for their courage, for their vision, and for keeping us here in Midtown, where we belong and are most certainly here to stay. As number nine, I look forward to working with you to discern how God calls us to turn the next page of this amazing church's history.
