A Note From the Rector

Dear Saints,

Once again we gather as the Church in this city to give thanks for one of Atlanta's most celebrated son's, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As is our tradition in marking this day, we will welcome a preacher/teacher to help us raise our hearts once more to the call to serve Atlanta and the world, striving for peace and justice for all God's people. This year, it is less a case of welcoming anew and more of welcoming back home the Rev. Natosha Reid Rice. Natosha was our Kanuga speaker in 2018, and this year will join me in co-convening a several month long series called 'Faith in the City', starting next month. As Dr. King said, 'We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.' In that spirit, let us seek together the welfare of the city, for in its welfare, as Jeremiah teaches, we will find our own.

Peace,
