A Note From the Rector
Dear Saints,
This week around the world we give thanks for all those who strive for peace in our time in history, with the United Nation's marking of World Peace Day on Saturday. One of the ways that we become peacemakers in the world is by growing in relationship with people who are different to ourselves. Our global partnerships through the years at All Saints' have offered us such opportunities for growth and understanding. Over the past year, we have been in conversation with our beloved friends in Tanzania, specifically at the Lake Tanganyika Theological College, looking at how we can further educational opportunities for women in that part of the world. This Sunday, we will get to learn more about that work through the eyes of our own Spenser and Stuart Simrill, who spent several weeks in Tanzania on behalf of All Saints' earlier this year. Let us be people who pray for peace in our world and as we do give thanks for the opportunities to contribute to the lives of others, both close to home and in far-off places.
