Outdoor Worship

Join us for worship in person!

UPDATE: We’re pausing our outdoor worship services after Sunday, November 22 as the weather gets colder. In the new year, we will assess when we are able to resume outdoor in-person worship. Please click here to read Simon’s update to the parish from November 16.

In addition to our online live-streamed worship, we are excited to offer two outdoor, in-person worship services on Sundays at 11:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (weather permitting).

Th services require registration, with a limit of 50 people per service. Registration opens on Mondays mornings at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays for services the following Sunday.

 

What to bring:
  • A chair or something else to sit on
  • A mask
  • A name tag
  • A device (phone or tablet) to follow the bulletin

We will have extra chairs and masks if you forget to bring yours!

COVID-19 Protocols:

All participants are required register and to follow the church’s COVID-19 protocols that require mask-wearing at all times, maintaining a distance of six feet on all sides, and practicing good hand hygiene.

We ask that you do not attend if:

  • You have had a fever (temperature of 100.4 °F or greater) or any symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 3 days. Click here to view a list of symptoms.
  • You have been exposed to anyone with these symptoms or anyone who may themselves have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
  • You have any health concerns about attending.
  • You are not willing to accept a level of personal health risk in attending.

Several factors have been identified that increase the risk of severe disease in people who develop COVID-19, including older age and a host of underlying medical conditions. Please review the information on the CDC website here and/or consult your healthcare provider if you have questions about your potential risks for contracting severe COVID-19.

 


FAQs:

How many outdoor services will there be each Sunday?
Presently, we will be holding three outdoor services on Sundays at 11:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. We also host a labyrinth walk at 6:00 p.m.

Where will the services take place?
We will hold services in the courtyard spaces at All Saints’. People will be seated in pods (people with whom they have shared a home for the past 14 days) each of which will be numbered. You will be checked-in by our staff and told your pod number on arrival.

Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes please. Mask wearing is required at all times for everyone over the age of two years old. If you forget to bring a mask, we will have a spare for you to use.

What about seating?
We are asking people to bring their own chairs to sit on for the service. For those who do not or who cannot bring one, we will have plastic church chairs available for you to use.

How can I follow the service?
We send an email on Sunday mornings which will include a link to the service bulletin. You will need to bring a phone or other device to follow the service. We will not be providing printed bulletins as per diocesan protocols.

When should I arrive for the service I’ve registered for?
Check-in will begin 30 minutes before the start of the service. We ask that you arrive ahead of time so we can begin the service at the appointed time.

Is there anything else I need to bring?
Yes. Please bring your All Saints’ name tag to help us check you in on arrival.

Do I need to maintain physical distance even though we are outside?
Yes, so that we can keep everyone safe, it is very important that you maintain at least six feet of distance between you and people outside of your pod at all times.

Are children welcome?
Yes! Children are very welcome and will stay with their families for the duration of the service.

Where can I park?
You can park in the upper level of the parking deck and the surface parking lot next to Egleston Hall.

May I attend more than one service per Sunday?
We ask you to attend only one service per Sunday so as to make room for others who wish to attend.

What happens if the service registration is full?
If any given service reaches 50 people in total, people who register after that will be placed on a waiting list.

If I cannot attend after all, what should I do?
If your plans change please inform us and we will open up your spaces for others who may be on a waiting list. If you need to cancel your reservation(s) after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, please contact Jill Gossett at jgossett@allsaintsatlanta.org.

Will the service be cancelled in the case of bad weather?
Yes, if the weather is bad, you will receive notice that outdoor Sunday services have been cancelled.

What kind of service will this be?
It will be a service of the Word – so no Holy Communion – almost exactly the same as our 10:00 a.m. livestream service.

Is the livestream service continuing?
Yes, we will continue to offer livestream services on Facebook and Vimeo at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday.

Will the restrooms be open?
No, as per our COVID-19 protocols, restrooms will not be available other than on an emergency basis.

May I enter the buildings?
We know how much we all miss seeing inside our church building and in other spaces, however, it will not be possible to enter the buildings at this time.

Are food and drink allowed?
We will not be serving any food or drinks and we would prefer you not to bring any food and drinks to the campus for the service.

May I linger after the service?
We know you want to visit with each other. Unfortunately, we will need to invite you to leave following the service to allow us time to prepare for the next service.

Can newcomers attend?
Yes! Newcomers are always welcome at All Saints’.

May I bring a guest?
Yes you are most welcome to. Please be sure to register them or invite them to register themselves.
