 Rector
A Note From the Rector

Dear Saints,

Greetings from Jordan and wonder of the ancient world, Petra. The Nabateans sculpted the city of Petra out of the rocky canyons of the desert beyond the Jordan River. In spite of its desert location, Petra grew to become one of the most important trading posts in the region, with a population of over 30,000 and a settlement that persisted for 1000 years. It is a manifestation of the sheer tenacity of the human will to flourish, even in the most challenging of circumstances. As we come to the end of this season after the Epiphany, the time of God's manifestation among us, I pray that you might take pause to reflect on your desire to flourish, for your own sake and for the sake of others. What of God's grace and love does your life make known? How do your intentions and actions speak of God? Good questions to ponder as we prepare our hearts for Lent and move from our outer living to our inner selves.

May God continue to make a wonder of you.

Peace,
