A Note From the Rector
Dear Saints,
It's the singing season, no doubt about it. This week, attendees at Wednesday Night Supper were serenaded by the Dartmouth Cords, an a cappella group of eighteen elegant and versatile college male voices. This weekend we will welcome the singers of Coro Vocati for their annual Christmas concert at All Saints', Sunday at 3pm. And, not to be outdone, all are welcome to join us in taking Midtown's passing foot traffic unawares with our caroling at MARTA, Wednesday at 5pm. Cookies are promised to the angelic throng. All of this is, of course, a warm-up act to the real thing on Christmas Eve, when we will blend our voices with newcomers, longtime parishioners, and those who prefer to worship only on selective liturgical dates. Some of it will be ethereal, and no doubt there will be some interesting harmony from the the pews here and there, but all of it will be offered to God's glory - from our most accomplished professional musicians to those who are sure they could never sing a note in tune. Let us give thanks for the gift of singing, and for the even greater gift of this church and the life we share in Christ.
Draw near in faith; the infant king is nearly here.
