A Note From the Rector
Dear Saints,
This Sunday marks the beginning of another church year, as we turn to Advent and to the expectation that light will indeed dawn upon the world and into the lives we lead. Ellis Hall will host the 'Advent Advent-ure', with items for sale and decorations to make. Our liturgy will move into a more pensive tone, and the scriptures we will hear will paint pictures of the coming Son of Man. As such, Advent is both strange and familiar; we are bound for the manger, yet our journey there takes turns and pauses at stopping places intended to turn us inward in new and arresting ways. I pray that your journey through Advent will be rich and holy and intent upon the light that is coming into the world, for you.

Join the Future of Our Block Work
In preparation for next year's discernment as a parish over the future of our block, as we seek to leave a legacy for mission for generations to come, two new teams are being formed: the
Parish History Committee and the
Parish Engagement Committee. Most of the Parish History Committee's work will be focused on January next year. The work of the Parish Engagement Committee will focus on activity in March to June and then again from August to October.
If you are interested in serving on either committee, please contact The Rev. Dr. Simon Mainwaring at smainwaring@allsaintsatlanta.org.
