Every Sunday at All Saints’, we turn towards the doors of the church and face the processional cross, symbolizing that out of worship we depart ready and willing to love and serve the Lord. Mission comes out of worship and should be an everyday lifestyle, not just a one-week experience in the summer. To help us accomplish this, mission work in Atlanta is a year-round focus for the youth of All Saints’.
Parish Service Days
During the school year, we come together with parents and adults for parish service days (2-3 times per year) and work with various city groups including Covenant Community, Emmaus House, Genesis Shelter, the Atlanta Food Bank, Atlanta Union Mission, Crossroads, and other homeless shelters and children’s homes.
Mission Trips
For a more intense experience youth in grades 9-12 are invited to participate on a week-long mission, usually in July of each year. The trip lasts a week and gives our youth the opportunity to participate in ministries of various types and settings. Over the last several years we have participated in mission trips to Los Angeles, Maine, Atlanta, Bay St. Louis (MS), and Nashville. The experience gained from our mission trip helps our youth understand some acute problems facing our society and helps equip them to respond as the hands and feet of Christ well after the trip has ended.
