At every baptism, the congregation is asked:
“Will you who witness these baptismal vows do all in your power to support these persons in their life in Christ?”
And the congregation responds, “We will.”
The wonderful programs for children at All Saints’ would not be possible if not for the incredible volunteers who arrive each week to teach, guide, worship and just be with our children. Take a look at the list of volunteer opportunities below and see if there is a way you can help fulfill your part of the baptismal covenant by reaching out to help educate our youngest members of All Saints’.
We need you and you will enjoy the fellowship of other caring adults and the love of appreciative children.
To sign up for any of these programs, please contact The Rev’d Chuck Girardeau at 404.267.4272.

Sunday School Teacher, Grades Kâ5
Teachers for this age group commit to one or more of our Rotation sections which are usually six weeks long. Their morning commitment is 10:10 â 11:10 a.m. Each week the teacher teaches the same lesson and activity, varying it a bit by making it more challenging for the fourth and fifth graders. Each week the teacher sees a different age group as the children rotate to a new class for that day. The lessons are planned, yet teachers are asked to contribute their special talents. This is a great way to get to know our elementary aged children and to pass on your life experiences and talents.
Gathering Time Leader
Many parents volunteer during our 9 a.m. service in the main church and need to bring their children a bit earlier to the Pritchett Center. Our Gathering Time has turned into a wonderful welcoming time with games, songs, movement and special projects that begins at 8:40 a.m. During Gathering Time, we play games connected to the topic of the present rotation and prepare for worship. Gathering Time Leaders also stay to assist with Children’s Church.
Children’s Church Helpers
Children’s Church is designed for kindergartners through third-graders and is held from 9-9:30 a.m. most Sundays, except for those days we have a Communion service in the Children’s Chapel from 9-10 a.m. It is always important to have several adults in attendance to help with needs that may arise during the service and to help with the movement from the Children’s Chapel over to the main church.
Sunday School Teacher for Three and Four Year-Olds
These teachers rotate through on a regular basis, with the frequency of teaching being determined by the number of volunteers. The Sunday School class takes place during the 9:00 service following Junior Children’s Church. Our curriculum is “home grown” and includes a Bible study, songs, activities, a coloring page and often a take-home craft. All class materials and supplies are waiting in the nursery area each Sunday for teachers.
Little Saints Church Leader
Little Saints Church begins at 9:15 a.m. in the common area of the nursery. This is a time for our children to hear the appointed story for the day in a worship setting. They learn prayers and responses, songs and stories. Our leaders read the story from big picture books or use other aids. A simple song or two is sung.
Red Aprons and Red Ties
The All Saints’ Red Aprons/Red Ties volunteer in our rooms for babies through four year olds or serve as greeters and guides from 8:40 until 9:00 a.m. and again before the 11:15 a.m. service each Sunday throughout the school year. They have become a valuable part of our childcare and children’s formation efforts. Serving as a Red Apron/Red Tie is a great way to get to know other families at All Saints’.
